See flyover footage of iEnergytech’s award-nominated 100 kW project during installation. The project - on the Moreland Civic Centre in Melbourne - was a finalist in the Clean Energy Council’s Solar design and installation awards in 2015, where it was recognised for its quality and attention to detail.

As you can see in the video, the installation - which started life as a 99.52 kW grid-connect system, but was later upgraded to 110 kW - spans multiple roof surfaces and orientations. It uses a combination of optimised and standard Trina modules based on the differing shade profiles of the roofs.

To improve the array density, the design also features some clever racking solutions from Schletter, including FixZ-15 racking to attain optimum pitch on a flattish, east-facing roof.

The aesthetics of the project were also important, due to the prominent nature and high visibility of the building. The video shows the care taken by iEnergytech to ensure a neat and symmetrical arrangement of modules to achieve the best visual effect from the ground.

Read a full profile of the project and interview with iEnergytech in the upcoming December 2015 issue of EcoGeneration magazine.
