Solar Citizens has welcomed the ACT Government’s commitment to solar and renewables after a report was tabled advising they are closing in on their greenhouse gas emissions goals for 2020.
The Greens launched Renew Australia on Sunday; a plan to transition the nation to at least 90% renewable energy by 2030.
“There is no escaping our economic future. It is clean and green or it is no future at all,” states the plan. ” Our past prosperity relied on coal-fired power, but coal can no longer secure us a prosperous and safe future.”
Researchers at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) say they are a step closer to identifying the causes of age related storage capacity loss in lithium-ion batteries.
While lithium-ion batteries have been used in devices since 1991, little is known about aging effects that result in their loss of storage capacity.
Consumer groups are joining the fight in court against a proposal by South Australia’s main utility to charge homes with solar installed extra for the network.
Earlier this year, South Australia Power Networks (SAPN) revealed their plan to charge homes with solar an extra $100 each year to use the network, as apparently they were contributing to network costs instead of reducing them.
