It took a while but business has twigged to solar. The commercial solar sector grew by 45% last year, on the Clean Energy Council’s estimation, with 230MW of systems between 100kW and 5MW installed, up from 128MW in 2017.
Business energy retailer Flow Power has signed an agreement with Ascham School as the first NSW-based school to sign onto a corporate renewable power purchase agreement (PPA). The school aims to be powered by at least 90% renewable energy, with a combination of wind and solar power calculated at 30-minute intervals.
New rules rushed through by the Queensland Government are likely to hit the commercial solar sector hard when they come into effect in less than two weeks, and will make it harder for the state to meet its own renewable energy target, the Clean Energy Council said today.
