Sunny Shire

Sunny Shire is a volunteer-based community energy group operating in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney. Made up of volunteers working in renewable energy and related professional fields, the group supports local residents in reducing energy costs and promotes the adoption of solar power, battery storage, energy efficiency and electric vehicles.

The organisation delivers initiatives designed to help the community participate in the clean energy transition, including advocacy, community events, crowdfunding and group purchasing programs. Its rooftop solar bulk-buy project has assisted more than 130 local households to install quality rooftop solar systems through local providers, helping residents access practical and cost-effective renewable energy solutions.
