Solar power system prices increased for almost all system size configurations in Tasmania and Sydney during August. In most other parts of Australia system prices remained steady. On average Tasmania had the highest prices and the lowest priced systems were in Perth.
The average solar power system price nationally continues to remain close to $1.85 per watt for the 3rd month in a row, with prices for specific system sizes also remaining largely unchanged between the months of May, June and July.
Residential solar PV system prices have remained steady from May through June with the average price per watt at roughly $1.85 per W across Australia. Slight decreases where recorded in some capital cities.
For the second month in a row solar power system prices have increased across Australia, the price of installing a 1.5kW, 3kW and 10kW system went up in all of Australia's capital cities.
